Nausea During Pregnancy

Most women who are pregnant is really very happy. They want to know the sex of their babies and they patiently wait for the time their baby is born. Pregnancy is an exciting but some experience nausea during pregnancy can be very annoying.

Nausea during pregnancy usually occur during the first few months of pregnancy. But there are some women who experience nausea and vomiting all over nine months. More than half the population of pregnant women are affected with this condition and usually is caused by hormonal changes in the body. Nausea during pregnancy usually occur in the early morning and gradually decrease throughout the day. Some pregnant women experience only mild nausea but somehow, they may actually vomit. Some even experienced a case of severe vomiting that can increase dehydration, weight loss, alkalosis and hypokalemia.

Although nausea during pregnancy can contribute to an effort, also a good sign that the mother’s body has adequate amounts of hormones which means there is a lower chance of miscarriage.

Nausea during pregnancy can not be completely removed but doctors can prescribe drugs for temporary relief. Here are some tips on what pregnant women can do to
help reduce the frequency of nausea during pregnancy.

1. Do not hurry. If you get out of bed, take the time and do it slowly.
2. After waking, if you already feel like vomiting, try eating a little salty biscuits before leaving your bed.
3. Avoid eating heavy meals instead; eat frequent but smaller size.
4. Avoid foods high in fat and spices and beverages with caffeine and alcohol content.
5. Do not smoke.
6. Drinking plenty of water (or liquid is allowed) to keep the body.
7. Taking a break as much as possible.
8. Do not brush your teeth immediately after eating because this can also cause nausea.

These tips are very helpful and can help you make your pregnancy a rather relaxed one.
